@t= TEHRAN – Being envious of Iran’s power in the region the enemies are trying to create insecurity inside the country, says a top Foreign Ministry diplomat.
Addressing a number of preachers in Qom, Hossein Amir-Abollahian said the negotiations of six world powers with Iran are an indication of Iran’s great power. “The negotiations of six countries of the world with us show the power of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

This power made the global powers to hold many long sessions with the Islamic republic over its nuclear program, noted Amir-Abollahian, the deputy foreign minister for Arab and African affairs.

He also said the Egyptian youth, inspired by the Islamic Revolution in Iran, stood against the Mubarak regime but the new government suppressed the people’s movement.

Saying that the Egyptians look at Iran as an example, he said, “Mohamed ElBaradei, who is a national of Egypt, announced that the average age of the Iranian nuclear scientists is 24-26 years and this statement made the Egyptian youth view the Iranian nation and youth as their example.”

The Egyptian revolution came to a halt due to some diversionary acts but despite all suppressions by the new government the feelings of the revolution is still alive among the nation, he explained.

The diplomat also said since the Syrian people are allied with Hezbollah and the Islamic Republic the arrogant powers sought to depose the Syrian government by supporting the terrorist group of Daesh.

The enemies’ plots against the Syrian people failed as officials in Iran followed the guidelines set by the Supreme Leader to support Syria, he added.

The diplomat went on to say that the U.S. is using its experiences in Iraq and Afghanistan to advance it policies in the region and even intends to involve Iran in such issues but the Islamic Republic has announced that it negotiates with the U.S. only on its nuclear program.

He also said Iran, along with Iraq, form the “greatest energy power” and the largest “Shia community” in the world and this has made the U.S. and other arrogant powers nervous, the Tasnim news agency reported.

He also said Saudi Arabia as the richest Arab nation attacked the poor country of Yemen and announced that it was fighting Iran in Yemen while the Islamic Republic supports all Yemeni groups including Houthis and has stood on the side of the innocent people of Yemen in the war.

“We recommended the House of Saud let the Yemeni people determine their fate which was opposed by the House of Saud,” he noted.

The deputy foreign minister added “the government of the House of Saud” imagined that it could achieve its goals in a few days but now “we are witnessing that Yemeni groups have been deployed in the Saudi soil.”

“Today, Houthis control 12 provinces out of 20 provinces in Yemen in order to prevent the infiltration of Daeshis and takfiri groups.”
